Are You the Person Who Notices What Everyone Else Misses?

Some people are simply wired to take care of others. They answer the phone and the person on the other end immediately feels calmer. They spot the detail that's missing from the file. They close the loop before anyone has to ask them to.

If that's you, we should talk.

We are a Frisco law firm that helps families protect what matters most through estate planning, probate, special needs planning, long-term care planning, and guardianship.

Clients often come to us during some of the most important—and most emotional—moments of their lives: a parent's declining health, a spouse's passing, or planning for their family's future. The person in this role is often the first voice they hear. That first impression shapes everything that follows, which is why this position matters so much to us.

Opportunity to Grow

This position is intentionally centered first on client relations, intake, follow-up, and strong day-to-day administrative ownership.

As you become confident and consistent in those core responsibilities, there may be an opportunity to expand your role into legal-assistant or paralegal responsibilities based on your skills, interests, experience, and the evolving needs of the firm.

That growth could include client onboarding, file organization, preparing client materials and correspondence, consultation notes, deadline tracking, court scheduling, e-filing, and helping move client matters through established firm processes.

Prior legal experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are open to candidates from reception, client service, hospitality, healthcare front-office, and sales-support backgrounds.

What You'll Own

Client Experience

  • You are the face and voice of the firm. You'll answer the phone warmly and promptly, greet clients when they arrive, and make them feel genuinely welcome. You'll answer appropriate questions, explain our process, provide proactive updates, and follow up when we need something from a client.

  • Clients may be stressed, grieving, overwhelmed, or navigating unfamiliar decisions. You'll handle them with patience and empathy while understanding the important difference between providing helpful information and giving legal advice.

Prospective Client Intake & Follow-Up

You will own our intake process from start to finish.

  • When a prospective client reaches out, you're the person who takes it from there. You'll conduct approximately 15-minute intake calls, gather the right preliminary information, explain how we work, and guide qualified prospects toward scheduling a paid Peace of Mind Strategy Session.

  • You'll enter every prospect accurately into our CRM, Lawmatics, move them through the appropriate pipeline, document communication, and make sure follow-up actually happens—every time, without being reminded.

Nobody falls through the cracks on your watch. That's the whole job in one sentence.

Calendar & Attorney Readiness

  • You'll help keep the attorney's calendar organized and useful—not simply full.

  • You'll schedule consultations, signings, court appearances, calls, and meetings and make sure calendar entries contain the information the attorney actually needs, including the purpose, contact information, relevant file, and background.

The goal is an attorney who can move into the next appointment prepared without having to hunt for information.

Office & Administrative Support

  • You'll also help keep the day-to-day office experience running smoothly. This includes maintaining client-facing and meeting spaces, handling incoming mail, monitoring supplies, assisting with routine administrative needs, and identifying problems before they become bigger ones.

When you spot a problem, we want you to think about possible solutions—not simply report that the problem exists.

How We Want You to Think

This part matters just as much as what you'll do.

We aren't looking for someone who simply works through a checklist and waits for another assignment. We're looking for someone who anticipates, takes ownership, and naturally asks:

  • What's going to be needed next?

  • What might this client be confused or worried about?

  • What does the attorney need before this meeting?

  • Is something missing from this calendar entry or client file?

  • Has this prospective client been followed up with?

  • If I don't handle this, could it fall through the cracks?

We welcome ideas for improving our systems, client experience, and efficiency.

  • Full-time, 9 am to 5 pm, in-office opportunity.

  • Superb communication skills.

  • Amazing organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.

  • Reliability and ownership of your duties.

  • Anticipate what needs to happen next.

  • You love working with a business with strong core values you believe in.

  • Service is your love language, and operations are your jam.

You'll Thrive Here If You

  • You genuinely enjoy people and talking with them on the phone. You're warm and approachable while still polished and professional. You notice when something doesn't add up, take ownership without being asked, and close the loops you open.

  • You're organized enough to manage competing priorities, comfortable learning new technology, willing to follow established procedures, and interested in improving them. You handle confidential information with discretion and are dependable, accountable, and open to feedback.

  • Most importantly, you bring warmth, ownership, attention to detail, and follow-through.

  • Technical skills can be taught. It's much harder to teach the instinct to care about the person on the other end of the phone, notice that something is missing, take responsibility for fixing it, and make sure it actually gets done.
