North Georgia Family Lawyers is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and client-focused Bilingual Legal Assistant to join our growing team.
This role is designed for someone who enjoys supporting attorneys and clients, managing details, keeping cases organized, and helping ensure that important deadlines, communications, and documents are handled correctly and on time.
Because many of the clients are navigating stressful family-law matters, strong communication, empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential.

Compensation: Salary: $50,000 per year. Raises are based on performance and the employee's continued contribution to the firm. Strong performance, reliability, professional growth, quality of work, and ability to take on additional responsibility will be considered when evaluating future compensation increases.
What you will do
As a Bilingual Legal Assistant, you will support attorneys, paralegals, and clients throughout the life of a case.
Responsibilities may include:
- Communicating with clients in both English and Spanish
- Monitoring and responding to client messages
- Returning client calls and providing appropriate non-legal updates
- Scheduling client meetings, hearings, and attorney appointments
- Maintaining attorney calendars
- Calendaring court dates, filing deadlines, discovery deadlines, and other important dates
- Updating and maintaining client files in MyCase
- Uploading, organizing, and managing legal documents
- Drafting routine correspondence and client communications
- Assisting with preparation of routine pleadings and court documents
- Assisting with electronic filing
- Communicating with court personnel and third parties as directed
- Helping collect documents and information from clients
- Assisting attorneys and paralegals with case preparation
- Monitoring assigned tasks and workflows
- Helping ensure deadlines and client requests are not overlooked
- Providing light intake support when needed
- Assisting with other administrative and legal-support duties as assigned

- Is fluent in both English and Spanish
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred experience
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Prior law firm experience
- Family law experience
- Litigation support experience
- Georgia law firm experience
- MyCase experience
- Clio or similar case-management experience
- Court filing experience
- Calendar and deadline-management experience
- Experience communicating with clients in a legal environment
Compensation
$50,000 yearly
