This is a full-time hourly position with direct responsibility for the daily maintenance and upkeep of a large life science campus. The Maintenance Repair Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain building and property equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform highly diversified duties for the general maintenance and repair of a life science campus to maintain buildings to performance standards. Includes minor electrical (i.e., ballasts), plumbing, painting, grounds keeping, and carpentry work.
  • Respond to daily work orders and communicate accordingly to resolve work order issues.
  • Maintain working knowledge of emergency shut-offs, timers, electrical panels, fire panels, sprinklers, generators, and all mechanical rooms.
  • Direct/assist 3rd party vendors when appropriate. Assist contractors with access.
  • Parking lot maintenance areas including curbs, drive lanes and sidewalks. Police building and grounds to maintain pristine environment. Identify areas that may be a potential safety, liability or security risk. Report any concerns.
  • Experience in refrigeration systems, including troubleshooting, installation, and repairs, with the ability to manage complex refrigeration installations in commercial settings.
Qualifications
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in Commercial Maintenance.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation
$25 - $30 hourly
