Hooks, Meng & Clement (HMC) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our team. This position supports the firm's billing department through invoice processing, data entry, account management, and coordination with attorneys and staff to ensure timely and accurate billing functions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced professional environment. Prior billing, accounting, or administrative experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Data entry and maintenance of billing records
- Maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets utilized by the billing department
- Submission of monthly invoices to clients
- Assisting with all billing functions of the firm
- Coordinating billing matters with partners, attorneys, and staff
- Supporting additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency with basic office equipment and Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines while producing high-quality work
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Prior billing or accounting experience preferred, but not required
Compensation
$40,000/year
