We're seeking a friendly and reliable laundry attendant to make sure our hotel guests are satisfied during their stay. We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team member who enjoys interacting with guests and making them feel at ease. Responsibilities include washing, ironing, pressing, and folding linens. You should ideally have experience with industrial washing products as well as the ability to lift 20 pounds or more on a consistent basis. Responsibilities

Sorting linens, towels, and other laundry items by color, size, and material
Stripping linens from guest rooms
Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols
Unloading laundry from commercial dryers
Cleaning and maintaining the laundry room area and equipment
Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags, and fabric softener

Put all laundry in a washing machine and follow the manufacturer's directions for adding the cleaning chemicals
Check that all cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the general manager if any are running low
Dry clothing and linens after each wash cycle according to the manufacturer's instructions
Inspect laundry equipment visually and report any maintenance issues to the building management
Inspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate cleaning products and techniques

Qualifications

Impeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
1+ years as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or similar position
Experience with a variety of commercial cleaning products and techniques
Must have graduated high school or received an equivalent certification
This position requires the ability to lift 20 or more pounds regularly

Compensation

$13 - $15 hourly
