Junior Community Manager

CAMCO Property Management • Chester, PA, US

Posted 18 hours ago

The Junior Community Manager is an entry-level, developmental role designed to build the next generation of CAMCO community leadership. Rather than managing a portfolio independently from day one, the Junior Community Manager works alongside experienced Portfolio Managers and Community Managers across a variety of communities, learning the full scope of the role through direct, hands-on support before stepping into a portfolio of their own.

This role is ideal for someone early in their property or community management career who wants structured mentorship, broad exposure to different community types (HOA, condominium, and co-op), and a clear path toward becoming a CAMCO Portfolio Manager.

This position may require interim on-site time at CAMCO-managed communities, including temporary coverage assignments, to support continuity of service while gaining hands-on experience.

Learn Alongside Leadership

  • Shadow and support Portfolio Managers and Community Managers across multiple communities to gain exposure to the full range of association types and challenges.

  • Attend board meetings, site visits, and vendor walk-throughs alongside senior managers to observe best practices in action.

  • Participate in structured mentorship and CAMCO's internal training program, including monthly community manager training sessions.

Communication & Board Support

  • Assist in facilitating communication between residents, board members, and vendors.

  • Help prepare board meeting agendas, minutes, and reports under the guidance of the assigned manager.

  • Respond to routine resident inquiries and concerns in a timely, professional manner, escalating as needed.

Administrative & Records Support

  • Maintain and update community records, including resident information, governing documents, and correspondence.

  • Support day-to-day administrative tasks and document management for assigned communities.

  • Learn and begin using CAMCO's technology platform, Vantaca, including the Board Portal and homeowner tools.

Financial Support

  • Assist with budgeting, assessment collection, and financial reporting tasks alongside the community's assigned manager.

  • Support invoice processing and vendor payment coordination.

  • Learn CAMCO's financial processes, including budget timelines and the annual audit cycle.

Property & Vendor Support

  • Assist with property inspections and help identify maintenance needs in common areas.

  • Support coordination with vendors and contractors under the direction of the assigned manager.

  • Help monitor completion of work orders and service requests.

Compliance & Rule Enforcement

  • Assist with enforcing community rules, architectural standards, and governing documents.

  • Support the tracking and processing of violations and architectural review (ARC) requests.

  • Build working knowledge of relevant state regulations, including the PA Uniform Planned Community Act and PA Uniform Condominium Act.

  • A genuine interest in community association management and a desire to grow into a Portfolio Manager role.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, customer-service-oriented approach.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced managers across different communities.

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, administration, or property management is a plus, but not required.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between communities.

  • Willingness to pursue CAI (Community Associations Institute) credentials as part of ongoing professional development.

Compensation

$50,000 - $60,000 yearly
