Lead Technician & Sales

Covarent Plumbing is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled, dependable plumber who can take ownership of projects, lead an apprentice, and help us continue building our commercial and residential plumbing operations.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their workmanship, and wants to grow with a developing company. This role is for someone who knows the trade inside and out and wants to use that knowledge to bring in new business.

• $32–$42/hour based on qualifications and experience.

• Bring in new work from property managers, builders, general contractors, and commercial clients

• Build and maintain relationships with clients

We are also open to applicants who currently work with an apprentice and would like to transition as a team.

• Lead commercial plumbing installations, renovations, and build-outs.

• Perform residential plumbing service, maintenance, and repairs.

• Troubleshoot water supply, drain, sewer, fixture, and water heater issues.

• Read blueprints and coordinate work with other trades.

• Manage assigned jobs, materials, and daily productivity.

• Train and supervise an apprentice.

• Communicate job progress and findings with management.

• Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service.

• Find and follow up on leads, and turn site visits into submitted offers

• Scope potential projects so our estimators can price them quickly

• Active Texas Journeyman Plumber license preferred.

• Candidates nearing Journeyman eligibility are welcome to apply; duties will depend on current licensing.

• Commercial plumbing experience is required.

• Must also be comfortable performing residential service and maintenance calls.

• Experience running jobs and supervising helpers preferred.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Dependable, organized, and capable of working independently within licensing requirements.

• Sales or customer-facing experience is a big plus

• Valid driver’s license.
