Posted 1 day ago
The IT Manager is Efinity Mortgage's hands-on technology leader and primary internal IT resource. Based in the Austin Corporate Office, this position owns corporate technology operations, branch IT infrastructure, and responsive Tier 1 through Tier 3 support for more than 150 employees across over 20 branch locations.
The manager will personally resolve day-to-day issues while also designing a stable, secure, standardized, and scalable technology environment. Responsibilities include Microsoft 365 admin, identity and access management, endpoint management, networks, firewalls, branch connectivity, servers and cloud services, cybersecurity, hardware and software standards, asset management, vendors, and technology projects.
Efinity is seeking a long-term technology partner who has previously served as the sole or primary IT manager for a similarly sized multi-location organization. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, communicating with executives and nontechnical employees, documenting the environment, setting priorities, and using qualified vendors or managed-service partners when specialized expertise or additional capacity is required.
Corporate IT ownership: Own day-to-day technology operations for the Austin corporate office, including workstations, conference rooms, printers, phones, connectivity, applications, accounts, and employee technology needs.
Branch infrastructure: Design, deploy, document, monitor, and support standardized networks, firewalls, wireless systems, internet connectivity, equipment, and technology configurations for more than 20 branches.
Tier 1 through Tier 3 support: Provide responsive remote and in-person support for more than 150 employees; triage requests; resolve hardware, software, access, network, and application issues; and escalate appropriately when specialized support is needed.
Microsoft and identity administration: Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, endpoint policies, multifactor authentication, conditional access, licensing, groups, permissions, and user lifecycle processes.
Endpoint and asset management: Maintain a complete asset inventory; establish hardware and software standards; manage procurement, imaging, deployment, patching, endpoint protection, warranties, replacements, and secure disposition.
Cybersecurity and compliance: Implement layered security controls, vulnerability and patch management, email and endpoint protection, access reviews, security awareness, incident response, log monitoring, and documentation supporting mortgage-industry and company requirements.
Network and systems administration: Administer and troubleshoot servers, cloud services, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, backups, file access, remote connectivity, integrations, and other core infrastructure.
Business continuity and recovery: Maintain tested backup, disaster-recovery, incident-response, and business-continuity procedures; coordinate restoration and communication during outages or security events.
Onboarding and offboarding: Coordinate with HR and department leaders to provide timely equipment, accounts, licensing, permissions, training, access changes, and secure termination of access.
Vendor and budget management: Manage technology vendors, carriers, software subscriptions, warranties, contracts, renewals, service levels, licensing, budgets, and outside technical resources.
Technology roadmap and projects: Develop and execute a multi-year technology roadmap; lead office openings, branch transitions, system implementations, migrations, standardization, automation, and continuous-improvement projects.
Seven or more years of progressive IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical support experience.
Prior success serving as the sole or primary IT manager for a company with approximately 100 or more employees and multiple locations is strongly preferred.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, endpoint management, Windows environments, networking, firewalls, VPNs, backups, and endpoint security.
Demonstrated ability to resolve Tier 1 through Tier 3 issues, prioritize competing demands, manage projects, and coordinate outside vendors without losing ownership of outcomes.
