Inside Sales Customer Service - Appointment Center

THE FIRST VOICE THEY HEAR. THE FIRST IMPRESSION WE MAKE.

At Buzzworthy Roofing & Siding, every lead matters. Every call is an opportunity. And the person who owns that first interaction sets the tone for everything that follows.

We're looking for an Appointment Center Manager who understands that — and takes it seriously.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You're not a call center rep reading from a script. You're a communicator, an organizer, and a closer. You know how to make someone feel heard in the first 30 seconds of a conversation, and you know how to guide that conversation toward a booked appointment every single time.

You've worked in a fast-paced environment before. You're comfortable with technology. You don't need someone standing over your shoulder telling you what to do next — you already know.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

THE ROLE

As our Appointment Center Manager, you are the first impression every single lead gets when they connect with Buzzworthy — whether they're calling us or we're reaching out to them. This is not a passive role. You're not just answering phones. You're actively converting leads into booked appointments that drive real revenue for the company.

This is an in-office position based in Farmingdale, NJ. This is not a remote role.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive base salary

  • Commission paid on every qualified appointment booked — your effort is directly rewarded

  • Commission earned on any unsold estimate you help bring across the finish line — multiple ways to earn, every single day

  • In-office position in Farmingdale, NJ — you'll be at the center of the operation, not isolated at home

  • A front-row seat to watch a startup grow — and a team that actually appreciates the work you put in

  • Clear growth path as the company scales — the right person won't stay in this seat forever

A STARTUP IS NOT FOR EVERYONE — AND THAT'S OKAY.

Buzzworthy Roofing is brand new. That means some days will be fast, fluid, and require you to think on your feet. We have systems and a proven playbook behind us, but we're still building. If you need everything perfectly figured out before you can perform, this probably isn't the right fit — and we'd rather tell you that now.

But if you're someone who gets energized by being part of something early, who wants their fingerprints on how a company grows, and who is ready to show up and make a real impact from day one — we want to meet you.

HOW TO APPLY

We're not looking for the most polished resume. We're looking for the right person.

Send us a cover letter that answers three things:

  1. What your experience with inbound and outbound calling looks like and what your numbers have been

  2. What tech tools and CRM platforms you've worked with

  3. Why a startup environment excites you rather than scares you

We read every one personally. If it's the right fit, you'll hear from us directly.

What You'll Own:

  • Managing all inbound calls from homeowners interested in roofing and siding services

  • Making outbound calls to leads generated through our marketing channels — with urgency and professionalism

  • Booking qualified appointments for our sales team with accuracy and speed

  • Maintaining our CRM and tech stack with detailed, up-to-date notes on every lead and interaction

  • Following up on leads that haven't converted yet — persistently and professionally

  • When lead volume is slow, you don't sit and wait. You proactively work the pipeline by following up on open estimates that haven't been sold yet — calling homeowners, answering questions, and helping bring deals across the finish line. If your follow-up helps close a job, you earn a commission on it. Period.

  • Supporting outbound marketing efforts when needed — including postcard campaigns, mailer coordination, and other grassroots marketing tasks that keep the pipeline moving

  • Identifying patterns in what's working and what isn't, and communicating that back to the team

  • Being the kind of first impression that makes people excited to work with Buzzworthy before they've even met anyone else

  • Assess the sales team’s progress toward company customer acquisition goals by creating quarterly and monthly sales reports
  • Update customer information in the CRM to ensure all sales team members have the most current data
  • Meet with prospects and convert them into new clients and ensure their needs are met
  • Generate repeat customers by persistently following up with existing customers via phone calls, emails, or other forms of communication
  • Upsell our premium products to close the best deal possible

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

  • You need a fully built-out, perfectly structured corporate environment to function

  • You're uncomfortable picking up the phone and calling someone who didn't specifically ask you to call

  • Technology intimidates you — we work with a full tech stack, and you need to be fluent, not just functional

  • You struggle to stay organized when multiple things are happening at once

  • You think a slow lead day is a reason to sit back and wait — here, a slow day is a signal to go find opportunity

  • You're looking for a job where you can coast — your effort here directly affects your paycheck

  • You've never worked in a startup environment, and the idea of figuring things out as you go makes you anxious

THIS IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You're a natural communicator who can build rapport fast and guide a conversation with confidence

  • You're highly organized — your notes are clean, your follow-ups are on time, and nothing falls through the cracks

  • You're tech-savvy and comfortable jumping between CRM platforms, scheduling tools, and communication software

  • You can work independently, manage your own time, and still show up as a strong team player

  • You're motivated by results — you see every open estimate in the CRM as an opportunity, not a leftover

  • You're comfortable supporting marketing efforts like postcard campaigns when the moment calls for it — you do what needs to be done

  • You thrive in a startup environment where your contributions are visible, valued, and directly tied to the company's growth

  • You want to be part of building something from the ground up — not just filling a seat

  • At least one year of experience as a sales representative
  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must have great communication skills, presentation skills, customer service skills, and listening skills
  • Understands the sales process and how to use CRM software

Buzzworthy Roofing is a tech-focused residential roofing company based in Farmingdale, NJ, built with one mission: do roofing the right way and take care of the people who make it great.

We're a startup — and we're proud of it. No corporate bureaucracy, no PE mandates, no culture that treats people like numbers. We're building intentionally — with the right people, the right values, and a proven playbook from a $100 million a year roofing operation already in our hands. At Buzzworthy, the people who help build this company should benefit from what it becomes. That's baked into how we compensate, how we promote, and how we treat every person who walks through our door. Bring your best every day — and it will get noticed, rewarded, and remembered.

If you're hungry, growth-minded, and tired of giving your best to a company that doesn't give it back — come build something buzzworthy with us.
