A busy and fast-paced medical malpractice and birth injury law firm is seeking a Junior Litigation Paralegal to support the legal team in pursuing justice for injured patients and their families from case initiation through resolution. The ideal candidate has experience with medical malpractice and Texas civil litigation, is a self-starter, and has the skill and ability to keep cases moving forward. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred. This role is 100% in-office and not eligible for remote work. (Applicants who do not complete the Screening Questions will not be considered.)

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, notices, and correspondence.

• Maintain electronic case files and documents, as well as handle and save e-filing and e-service.

• Coordinate scheduling of depositions, hearings, phone calls, meetings, etc.

• Analyze and calendar deadlines and settings.

• Communicate regularly with clients, expert witnesses, court reporters, videographers, vendors, etc.

• Conduct background investigations and other research.

• Maintain up-to-date case data in Filevine at all times, including liens, current providers, paid v. incurred, court rules, docket information, etc.

• Assist with attorney preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.

• Assist with general office tasks; assembling notebooks and attorney materials; case opening/closing tasks; processing incoming/outgoing mail; postage; faxes; case intake.

• 1–3 years of solid experience in plaintiff-side medical malpractice and/or personal injury litigation.
• Strong command of Texas civil procedure and local court rules.
• Proficiency with Office 365, and electronic case management/document management platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of working independently, task prioritization, dependability, and attention to detail.
