Description

We are a growing immigration law firm seeking a bilingual Immigration Associate Attorney to provide exceptional legal representation to immigrant families across the United States.

This is a role for an attorney who enjoys practicing immigration law, collaborating with a team, and continuously improving their craft.

You will report directly to our Lead Attorney, who will oversee legal strategy, quality control, and the continued development of our legal department. In turn, you will manage your own caseload, conduct consultations in English and Spanish, represent clients before USCIS and EOIR, and help build the systems and standard operating procedures that allow our team to deliver consistently excellent legal work.

We intentionally separate the practice of law from the business of running a law firm.

That means your time is spent representing clients, developing legal strategy, drafting strong legal work, and collaborating with your team—not worrying about payroll, marketing, collections, hiring, or firm administration.

If you are looking for a place where you can focus on becoming an outstanding immigration attorney while contributing to a growing legal department, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

Legal Representation

  • Independently manage assigned immigration cases from intake through resolution

  • Draft motions, briefs, legal memoranda, declarations, and complex filings

  • Develop legal strategy with guidance from the Lead Attorney when appropriate

  • Conduct legal research

  • Represent clients before Immigration Court and USCIS when required

  • Travel for hearings or interviews when necessary

Client Consultations

  • Conduct legal consultations in both English and Spanish

  • Evaluate case viability

  • Explain immigration options clearly and compassionately

  • Recommend appropriate legal strategy

  • Provide detailed consultation notes to support case conversion

Collaboration

  • Report directly to the Lead Attorney

  • Work closely with paralegals and administrative staff

  • Maintain timely case notes and documentation

  • Participate in legal strategy meetings

  • Help identify workflow improvements

  • Assist with development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Help improve templates, training materials, and legal workflows as the department grows

Continuous Improvement

We aren't looking for someone who simply manages a caseload.

We want someone who enjoys making the entire legal department better.

If you naturally notice better ways to organize files, improve templates, strengthen legal arguments, or build repeatable systems, you'll fit in well here.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active U.S. Bar license in good standing

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)

  • Minimum of 3 years of immigration law experience immediately preceding the date of application.

  • Experience in at least three of the following areas: humanitarian immigration, family-based immigration, removal defense, or employment-based immigration.

  • Strong legal writing skills

  • Ability to independently manage an active caseload

  • Experience conducting client consultations

  • Willingness to appear in Immigration Court and travel when necessary

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal support staff

Compensation Considerations

Additional compensation opportunities may be available for candidates who:

  • Demonstrate exceptional legal writing

  • Help develop SOPs, templates, and legal resources

  • Consistently exceed production and quality expectations

  • Contribute to the professional development of the legal team

In addition to base compensation, attorneys are eligible for performance-based bonuses tied to measurable performance indicators.

Compensation

$100,000 - $125,000/year
