We're looking for a proactive, people-focused Human Resources Generalist who is passionate about supporting employees, strengthening workplace culture, and keeping HR operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role plays an integral part in shaping the employee experience and supporting the firm's continued growth and success.
This dynamic position touches all areas of HR, including recruitment and talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, payroll, employee training and development, performance management, policy development and implementation, and employment law compliance. The HR Generalist also helps drive employee engagement, foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, improve HR processes, and support internal and external audits.
In partnership with the COO, this role may also assist with employee relations, workplace investigations, and other personnel matters as needed.

This will be a hybrid position after the initial training period.
Recruitment & Employee Development
Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, assessments, offers, and hiring coordination.
Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee offboarding.
Facilitate employee performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, and ongoing training initiatives.
Maintain job descriptions, performance metrics (KPIs), and employee training records.
Payroll, Compensation & Benefits
Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence programs, disability, and workers' compensation.
Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefits, eligibility, and enrollment.
Conduct compensation research and assist with salary benchmarking and pay recommendations.
HR Compliance & Administration
Maintain accurate employee records, HR policies, and the employee handbook.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Coordinate HR audits, required reporting, and year-end compliance activities.
Stay informed of employment law changes and recommend policy or procedural updates.
Support employee relations matters and internal investigations in collaboration with the COO.
Employee Engagement & Workplace Culture
Help foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture aligned with the firm's values.
Support employee retention, satisfaction, and professional development initiatives.
Coordinate employee communications, team meetings, engagement surveys, and company events.
Identify opportunities to strengthen the employee experience and improve internal processes.
HR Strategy & Organizational Support
Partner with the COO to implement HR initiatives that support the firm's growth and organizational goals.
Assist with workforce planning, organizational development, and change management.
Recommend improvements to HR practices, policies, and programs to increase efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Perform additional HR-related responsibilities as assigned by the COO.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development with supplemental course works in Human Resources or related field.
3+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and/or SHRM-CP preferred, not required.
Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance, including federal and state labor laws.
Experience with full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits administration, payroll, and performance management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and leadership.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Proactive problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to navigate challenging or sensitive workplace situations.
Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems, Microsoft Office, and other HR-related technology.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience supporting employee engagement, workplace culture, and organizational development initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, interpret data, and recommend process improvements.

Compensation
$29 - $35 hourly
