Household & Personal Assistant (Part-Time, No Childcare)
We are a busy professional family seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Household Assistant to help keep our home running smoothly.
Please note: This position involves NO childcare duties.
Our goal is to partner with someone who loves creating calm, functional spaces and keeping daily household tasks moving so our family time remains focused and stress-free. We have a dedicated biweekly cleaning service that handles all heavy scrubbing, mopping, and deep cleaning. Your role is centered entirely on day-to-day tidying, kitchen throughput, laundry management, healthy meal prep, and rotating mini-organization projects.
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: 2 Days per week, approximately 4 to 5 hours per shift (8–10 hours/week total)
Schedule Options: Preferred days are Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Thursday (e.g., 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Kitchen Reset & Daily Flow: Unload/load the dishwasher and hand-wash delicate items.
Wipe down countertops, sink, and food prep surfaces.
Unpack, inspect, and put away weekly grocery deliveries into the pantry and refrigerator.
Family Meal Prep: Wash, chop, and prep produce and proteins for family meals.
Assemble 2–3 easy dinners or meal components per shift (e.g., sheet-pan preps, marinades, crockpot assembly, prepped salads/grain bowls).
Portion fresh snacks and fruit for the week.
Laundry Management: Run, swap, fold, and immediately put away clothing into designated bedrooms and closets.
Wash, fold, and change bed linens/towels on designated rotation days.
General Tidying & Rotating Organization: Light daily reset of common living areas and kids' rooms (putting away items, organizing shoes/entryway).
Dedicate 45–60 minutes per shift to rotating organizational targets (e.g., pulling outgrown clothes into donation/hand-me-down bins, straightening the laundry closet, organizing pantry shelves).
Experience: Previous experience as a Household Assistant, Professional Organizer, House Manager, or High-End Family Assistant / Nanny looking to transition out of direct childcare.
Proactive & Self-Directed: Ability to see what needs to be done, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
Comfort in the Kitchen: Confident with basic cooking techniques, following simple recipes, and safe food storage.
Trustworthy & Discreet: High level of personal integrity, reliability, and respect for household privacy.
Requirements:
Reliable personal transportation
Non-smoker
Willingness to complete a background check
2–3 verifiable professional references
