The hotel operations manager oversees the daily running of a hotel to ensure high service standards, smooth department coordination, and strong profitability. The operations manager manages day-to-day workflows across multiple departments and reports directly to the general manager (GM). While the GM focuses on high-level strategy and long-term financial growth, the operations manager handles tactical, hands-on execution.

• Department Coordination: Supervise key areas like the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage to keep operations seamless.

• Guest Experience: Ensure high customer satisfaction from check-in to check-out, resolving complaints quickly and professionally.

• Staff Management: Handle hiring, training, daily shift scheduling, and performance monitoring for operational staff.

• Budget and Inventory Control: Monitor daily expenses, manage departmental budgets, and oversee inventory supply levels to prevent shortages or waste.

• Quality and Safety Compliance: Maintain health, safety, and brand regulatory standards across the property.

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is often preferred for larger properties.

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of hospitality management experience, including supervisory roles.

• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, verbal communication, and organizational skills under pressure.

Hilton experience preferred.
