We're looking for a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to provide our guests with a five-star experience. You'll be in charge of overseeing the property’s overall upkeep and carrying out routine processes to make it fully functioning, pleasurable, and safe. Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth operation of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to provide a comfortable environment for our guests.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they impact guest experience.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring swift and effective resolution to maintain guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with the hospitality team to prioritize maintenance tasks and align them with guest needs and operational goals.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to manage repairs and upgrades, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Implement energy-saving initiatives to enhance the sustainability of our property, contributing to our commitment to environmental responsibility.
Work a standard of 6 hours or more in one work setting.

Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand
Work with a variety of tools hammers and screwdrivers, indicators and edge finders, drills, wrenches, and other maintenance tools of the trade
Stay in constant contact with co-workers, managers, and other departments
Collaborate with other personnel who will help you with maintenance tasks
Maintain all of the hotel's equipment and preventative maintenance plans

Qualifications

Experience in building maintenance, particularly in the hospitality industry, ensuring guest satisfaction through timely issue resolution.
Ability to respond promptly to emergencies, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to guest safety and comfort.
Proven track record of maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure smooth operations and a comfortable environment.
Skilled in conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance, identifying potential issues before they affect guest experiences.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the hospitality team, aligning maintenance tasks with guest needs and operational goals.
Experience in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Ability to coordinate with external contractors and vendors, managing repairs and upgrades with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary
Applicants must have 2-4 years of experience in maintenance
Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent GED
You should have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record required

Compensation

$19 - $19/hour
