We are searching for an enthusiastic, service-focused hotel front desk agent to join our guest services team. You’ll welcome guests, manage accounts, answer inquiries, and field complaints to ensure we deliver an excellent experience to every guest. Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to hotel email promptly and professionally
- Conduct regular property walks to ensure cleanliness, safety, and a peaceful environment
- Walk hallways periodically to remove trash and linen and address concerns quickly
- Restock and maintain a clean, organized marketplace
- Assist with light room inspections before placing rooms back in service
- Support housekeeping with room turns during high occupancy
- Perform regular bookkeeping duties: make sure hotel guest information is current and correct
- Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys and room assignments, and record credit card information
- Handle customer complaints as necessary
- Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests
- Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests’ needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs
Qualifications
- High school graduate, GED recipient, or equivalent
- Exhibits working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
- 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred
- Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations
- Possesses strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
Compensation
$14 - $16/hour
