nestago is looking for a dependable, self-motivated Hot Tub & Property Maintenance Technician to help maintain our growing portfolio of short-term and mid-term rental properties throughout Colorado Springs and surrounding mountain communities.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and can manage a variety of outdoor property maintenance responsibilities.

The primary focus of this position is maintaining approximately 15 hot tubs, ensuring they are clean, properly balanced, functioning, and ready for guest use. Additional responsibilities include lawn care during the warmer months, snow removal during the winter, and occasional light handyman tasks.

You'll work closely with our Property Care team and coordinate with an existing part-time lawn care employee to ensure properties are well-maintained and guest-ready year-round.

Compensation & Schedule

• $25 per hour

• Additional mileage stipend for use of personal vehicle.

• Approximately 30–40 hours per week, depending on seasonal workload and property needs.

• Flexible scheduling, with weekday and weekend availability required.

• Year-round position with responsibilities that shift seasonally between hot tub maintenance, lawn care, and snow removal.

Hot Tub Maintenance – Primary Responsibility

• Maintain and service approximately 15 hot tubs on a regular schedule.

• Test and balance water chemistry, including sanitizer, pH, and alkalinity levels.

• Clean filters, waterlines, covers, and surrounding areas.

• Drain, clean, and refill hot tubs as needed.

• Monitor water levels, temperature, circulation, and overall equipment operation.

• Identify and troubleshoot basic hot tub issues and coordinate more complex repairs with approved vendors.

• Respond promptly to hot tub issues that may affect guest stays.

• Maintain accurate service records, including water chemistry readings, photos, and maintenance notes.

• Ensure hot tubs meet company cleanliness and safety standards.

Lawn Care & Exterior Property Maintenance

• Mow lawns, trim edges, weed, and maintain landscaped areas.

• Perform seasonal yard cleanups, including leaf removal and debris cleanup.

• Assist with basic irrigation troubleshooting and seasonal property preparation.

• Coordinate lawn care schedules and responsibilities with our existing part-time lawn care employee.

• Monitor exterior property conditions and report maintenance concerns.

• Ensure outdoor spaces are clean, presentable, and ready for arriving guests.

Winter Snow & Ice Maintenance

• Perform snow removal at assigned properties, including driveways, walkways, stairs, and guest access areas.

• Apply ice melt or other approved treatments as needed.

• Monitor weather conditions and respond to snowfall in a timely manner.

• Help ensure properties remain safe and accessible for guests throughout the winter.

• Be available for early morning, evening, or weekend snow removal when weather conditions require it.

Light Handyman & General Maintenance

• Complete minor repairs and basic property maintenance when needed.

• Replace light bulbs, batteries, furnace filters, and similar items.

• Assist with furniture assembly, minor installations, and basic troubleshooting.

• Perform small touch-up projects and other general property upkeep.

• Identify issues requiring licensed contractors or specialized vendors.

• Assist with supply pickups, deliveries, and occasional property errands.

• Previous hot tub or pool maintenance experience is strongly preferred.

• Experience with water chemistry, filtration systems, and basic equipment troubleshooting is a significant plus.

• Lawn care, landscaping, or general property maintenance experience required.

• Basic handyman skills and mechanical aptitude.

• Must own a reliable truck with AWD or 4WD, suitable for year-round travel, including mountain properties and snowy conditions.

• Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.

• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs and perform physically demanding outdoor work.

• Comfortable working outdoors in Colorado's changing weather conditions.

• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple property visits in a day.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Comfortable using a smartphone, Slack, and digital work order systems to communicate and document completed work.

• Dependable, punctual, and responsive to scheduling changes or urgent maintenance needs.

• Willingness to work occasional weekends and adjust schedules based on guest arrivals, departures, and weather conditions.
