Responsibilities
- Administer Medications: Dispense medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN), maintaining an annual error rate of no more than one mistake.
- Resident Response: Attend to resident call lights within 10 minutes to ensure responsive and attentive care.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform regular light housekeeping in resident rooms at least once weekly to promote a clean and comfortable living space.
- Service Charting: Accurately document all services provided without missing tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Assistance with ADLs: Support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to each individual’s Client Service Plan, with a zero-tolerance policy for missed tasks.
- Administer basic medical tasks like taking vital signs, measuring glucose and ketone levels, replacing bandages and dressings, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices
- Reinforce accurate and up-to-date care records and work with the case manager to implement the patient care plan
- Transport patients as needed to doctor’s offices or other health care services, grocery shopping, or for other errands
- Take care of light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to vacuuming, bed making, laundry, etc.
- Help patients accomplish personal care tasks like scheduling appointments, calling doctors’ offices, and coordinating Medicare and other insurance details
Qualifications
Some skills expected-
- Ability to lift 35 pds
- Assist with resident ADLs as directed by Client service plan
- Administration of medication as directed by an RN
- Answer client call lights
- Housekeeping in residents' rooms as scheduled
- Charting of all services performed

- First aid training and current CPR certification is needed and you must be able to pass a drug test, full employment background check, and physical
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is highly valuable- approved home health aide training programs from community colleges are accepted
- A valid state driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance is required
- Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 100 lbs, may be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed
- Must have 1-3 years of experience as a personal caregiver, HHA/ home health aide, nursing assistant, or personal care aid for a home health agency at patient homes or care facilities setting
Compensation
$16 - $18/hour
