AtoZHomeCare is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to support adults and older adults in their homes. Your care can help someone maintain their independence, follow familiar routines, and feel comfortable and respected—while giving family caregivers much-needed support.

As a Weekend Caregiver, you will provide personalized assistance based on each client’s care plan. We’re looking for someone who brings patience, sound judgment, and a reliable presence to every visit. Experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia is especially valuable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs while protecting each client’s dignity and privacy.

• Provide companionship, conversation, and activities suited to the client’s interests and abilities.

• Prepare meals and provide eating assistance according to the care plan and dietary instructions.

• Assist with walking, mobility, and transfers within your training and the client’s care plan.

• Provide medication reminders when authorized.

• Perform light housekeeping related to client care, including laundry, dishes, and keeping living areas tidy.

• Observe and promptly report changes in the client’s condition, behavior, or safety needs.

• Complete accurate visit documentation and communicate professionally with clients, families, and the AtoZHomeCare team.

• Arrive on time, follow assigned care plans, and maintain required training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving, personal care, home care, or a related role is preferred.

• Alzheimer’s or dementia care experience is a strong plus.

• A patient, respectful approach to helping people with personal care.

• Dependability and availability for scheduled weekend shifts.

• Reliable transportation to assigned client locations.

• Strong communication skills and attention to changes in a client’s needs.

• Ability to perform assigned care tasks safely, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

• Willingness to complete required background screening, training, and position-specific certifications.
