The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance instruction, a love for working with high school students, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities
  • Create engaging and dynamic lesson plans for high school dance classes
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Choreograph and teach dance routines that cater to the skill levels of high school students
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their dance techniques
  • Organize and oversee dance performances and events showcasing the students' talents
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience teaching dance to high school students
  • Proficient in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
  • US work authorization
Compensation
$30 - $35 hourly

Since its inception in 2004, LTYC has continuously expanded its programming, geographic outreach, and calendar, expanding stronger relationships among schools, students, families, and the community.

LTYC has been able to impact the lives of more than 160,000 students, ranging from grades K-12. Many of our students come from schools in Baltimore City and surrounding areas that are in dire need of arts education and behavioral intervention. Our arts education instruction includes dance, theater, music, visual arts, media arts, creative writing, STEAM, culinary arts, Yoga, martial arts, and gardening.
