Seeking Skilled Handyman

Position: Full-Time Union Shop - Handyman to Superintendent

Ideal candidate seeking a long-term position

• Performing routine building maintenance

• Handling emergencies and after-hours building issues

• Handling snow equipment

• Overseeing contractors

• Daily inspection of the property

• Responding to work orders from shareholders

• Reviewing apartment renovation requests

• Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition

• Working closely with building management and porters to address property needs

• Report repairs, safety hazards, and code violations promptly

• Knowledge of all building equipment, gas boilers, roofs and windows

• Certifications for boilers, fire systems

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general repairs, boiler systems, pumps/motors

• Ability to supervise staff and handle daily work orders

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills with both shareholders and Board

• Good record keeping for property maintenance needed
