Are you a dynamic salesperson who can boost income by researching local market trends and competitors in order to identify and close business leads? You'll be in charge of creating a sales and marketing strategy that includes soliciting new and existing accounts in order to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, and sales tours, and community networking. Responsibilities

Represent property at appropriate travel industry trade shows and conferences while adhering to the guidelines of the marketing plan and budget
Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads
Collaborate on creating and planning the department budget with the director of sales and marketing to align overall sales objectives and strategies for the hotel
Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by cold calling, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking
Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to keep and expand our market share

Qualifications

Good organization and time management skills
Demonstrated exceptional social, verbal, and negotiating abilities
3 or more years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality
Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry
Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired
