The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza is hiring a Group Sales Coordinator. This position will report to the Director of Group Sales. Responsible for providing administrative support to all Sales Managers.

• Answer telephones and provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, etc.

• Responsible for entering group master accounts, room blocks, and rooming lists.

• Build and manage special rate plans for group bookings, upon receipt from Sales Managers.

• Reviews all upcoming room blocks and ensure the distribution of upcoming room block sheets to appropriate department heads on a weekly basis.

• Monitors group cutoff dates, group pick-ups, and group requests.

• Perform 14-day window audit of blocked inventory in systems, ensuring all unused blocked inventory has been released back for general sale.

• Adheres to all Sales Office Policies as they relate to file set-up, account maintenance, etc.

• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Training in providing quality guest service and telephone etiquette skills.
