Stone Fabrication Industry Experience Required

Are you a proven leader in the stone fabrication industry who knows how to build strong teams, improve operations, and drive profitable growth? Do you thrive in an environment where you are expected to take ownership, solve problems, create accountability, and continuously raise the standard?

A well-established and growing stone fabrication and installation company in Florida is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the organization through its next phase of growth.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands the complexities of the stone industry and knows how to connect people, production, installation, financial performance, customer experience, and growth into one highly functioning operation.

The General Manager will have responsibility for the overall performance of the business, working closely with ownership to translate company vision into execution. You will lead through department leaders, strengthen systems and accountability, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure the company continues to scale without sacrificing quality or service.

We are looking for a leader who is strategic enough to see the entire business but hands-on enough to understand what is actually happening inside it.

This is not a role for someone who wants to simply maintain what already exists. We are looking for someone who wants to build, improve, lead, and grow.

  • Salary Range: $140,000–$150,000, based on experience

  • Paid Time Off

  • Medical Insurance

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall health and performance of the organization, including:

  • Providing company-wide leadership and ensuring teams are aligned around the organization's vision, goals, and priorities

  • Overseeing operational performance across fabrication, production, installation, scheduling, customer experience, and support functions

  • Leading, developing, and holding accountable department leaders and key managers

  • Creating a strong leadership cadence with clear expectations, communication, and follow-through

  • Establishing and tracking KPIs across departments to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities

  • Owning financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, margins, cost management, and P&L accountability

  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, capacity, and operational efficiency

  • Strengthening systems, processes, workflows, reporting, and organizational structure to support continued growth

  • Improving communication and coordination between sales, production, installation, and administrative teams

  • Ensuring projects move efficiently from sale and measurement through fabrication and final installation

  • Maintaining exceptional standards for craftsmanship, quality control, safety, and customer service

  • Identifying operational bottlenecks and solving root-cause problems rather than relying on temporary fixes

  • Developing stronger leaders throughout the organization and creating greater ownership at every level

  • Partnering with ownership on strategic priorities, growth opportunities, capital investments, and long-term planning

  • Protecting and strengthening a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement

The Leader We're Looking For

You understand that great operations don't happen because one person works harder. They happen because the right people, systems, expectations, and accountability are in place.

You are comfortable making decisions and having difficult conversations. When performance is below expectations, you address it. When a process isn't working, you improve it. When the organization begins to outgrow a system or structure, you recognize it before it becomes a larger problem.

At the same time, you understand how to lead people. You know how to coach strong performers, develop managers, create buy-in, and establish expectations without micromanaging.

You can move comfortably between the numbers and the people, between strategic planning and day-to-day execution, and between the office and the production environment.

Most importantly, you take ownership.

When there is a problem, your first instinct isn't to explain why it happened. Your first instinct is to understand it, solve it, and determine how to prevent it from happening again.

  • Significant leadership experience within the stone fabrication industry is required

  • Proven experience managing or leading a stone fabrication and installation operation

  • Strong understanding of fabrication, production, templating, installation, scheduling, quality control, and related workflows

  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance and scaling a production-driven organization

  • Experience leading managers and building high-performing teams

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, margins, costs, and P&L performance

  • Experience implementing and managing KPIs across multiple departments

  • Strong understanding of process improvement, workflow optimization, and capacity management

  • Ability to identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical, scalable solutions

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations effectively

  • High level of ownership, urgency, accountability, and follow-through

  • Ability to think strategically while remaining connected to day-to-day operations
