General Manager
Hoodz of the Lowcountry and Coastal Georgia • Garden City, GA, US
Posted 2 hours ago
HOODZ of the Lowcountry & Coastal Georgia keeps commercial kitchens across coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry running safely. Restaurants, schools, hospitals, and hotels rely on us to clean and maintain their exhaust systems to code, and we've built a reputation for doing it right. We have more demand than we can currently service, which means this role comes with real runway: a business that's already growing, and a real say in how it grows.
We're hiring a General Manager to build the field operation that gets us there. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Savannah, GA, with remote flexibility once the systems are running. We're looking for someone who has rebuilt a team before and wants to do it again, this time with equity in the outcome through a real profit share, room to build their own leadership bench, and a clear path to running a larger operation as the company grows.
WHAT THE WORK ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
You're stepping into a field operation that's ready for improvement. Inside your first ninety days, you'll assess the people currently doing the work and make calls about who stays, who moves, and who needs to be coached. Your first six months are mostly hiring technicians, training crew leaders, and building a bench in a labor market where good field people are hard to find and easy to lose.
The work happens at night, since crews go into commercial kitchens after they close, so expect to be taking calls in the early months while you train the team. Once the trucks are producing and the field leadership is steady, you'll take on quoting, follow-up, and referral relationships with commercial accounts, and eventually hand off day-to-day field operations to a Field Operations Leader you've developed or hired.

- Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction, quality, and service delivery
- Is a confident communicator who leads with empathy and clarity
- Brings a proactive mindset and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in operational tools, systems, and performance metrics
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
Compensation
$100,000 - $120,000 yearly
HOODZ of the Lowcountry & Coastal Georgia is part of the nation's largest commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning network. Our crews work overnight to clean hoods, ducts, and rooftop fans — preventing kitchen fires and keeping restaurants, hospitals, and schools compliant and safe.
This is skilled, physical, technical work done by small crews with high standards. We're building toward $5M in revenue, 12+ trucks, and a team of A-players who are paid 20% above similar trades.
Our Values:
- Do the Right Thing - follow safety and fire code, even when no one's watching.
- Team of Athletes - show up, compete, watch each other's backs.
- Take Initiative - focus on outcomes, not hours.
- Serve Others - we protect people's businesses from kitchen fires.
You'll do well here if you take pride in hard work, want a real career path, and hold yourself to a high standard. You won't do well if you cut corners, show up late, or need someone standing over you.
