Description
The food runner acts as the bridge between the kitchen and the dining room. They deliver plated food to customer tables quickly and accurately, ensuring meals arrive hot and beautifully presented. They also help maintain dining sections by clearing empty plates, refilling water glasses, and setting tables.
Responsibilities
- Quality Control: They verify that each plate matches the ticket, checking that all modifications and special allergy requests are met before leaving the kitchen.
- Seamless Service: By running trays of food, they free up servers to take orders, sell drinks, and entertain guests.
- Table Maintenance: They bring extra silverware, napkins, and condiments to tables as needed while observing guests to see if they require anything else.
- Menu Knowledge: They must be able to confidently identify dishes and explain ingredients when placing meals in front of customers.
Qualifications
- Prior restaurant or food service experience preferred.
- Guest-focused personality.
Compensation
$16.94 - $16.94/hour
