Posted 6 hours ago
You like knowing the ins and outs of how a business runs. Elite Cabinets and Building Supply is hiring a Financial Operations Manager to own the money side of the business and keep the office running for the owners, from the first purchase order of the day through the monthly numbers they use to run the company.
The right person for this seat brings all of this:
Experience managing the finances for a business, where you knew what was being ordered, what was coming in, what was owed and where the cash was going.
An eye for spotting a problem in the numbers before it becomes one, and the habit of bringing it up early.
Real enjoyment of keeping the books in order and handling the admin work behind a busy office.
A natural pull toward being the person others can come to for help.
Elite is a family-owned supplier in Watford City that specializes in home and building packages. Customers who walk in get someone who knows their name and sits down with them to put the whole job together, down to the pieces they didn’t think of. It’s a small team where everyone knows each other and works directly with the owners. Sales volume has grown significantly, and with it the number of purchases, invoices and payments moving through the business every day.
This is a full-time, in-office position at the Watford City store.
WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE
The Financial Operations Manager covers the books, cash, purchasing approvals and payroll oversight, along with the day-to-day admin that keeps the office running. Most days start with reconciling yesterday's orders, receiving, sales and billing. Every purchase request comes to your desk, including the weekly store order, and you approve it against the cash on hand. Each week you'll sit down with the owners to show them where things stand and what needs their attention. This is a hands-on seat in a small office, so expect admin work to sit right alongside the financial work.
WHO BELONGS HERE
Accuracy is your top priority, and you double-check your work before it goes to anyone else.
When someone has a question, you like being the person they can go to.
You're honest and upfront, and you keep the owners in the loop on where things stand.
You're curious by nature, and when something new comes up, you take the time to learn it.
Staying organized is a must for you, and a messy system never stays messy for long. • You see what needs doing and take care of it without being asked.
You're looking for a company you can grow with for years.
