Our firm is looking for an exceptional File Clerk to support the legal team by maintaining accurate, organized, and accessible client records and case files. This role is responsible for ensuring that both physical and electronic documents are properly maintained so attorneys and staff have reliable, up-to-date information when needed. You will also support general office operations that help keep legal work moving efficiently and on track. This is a detail-focused role where accuracy, consistency, and follow-through are essential.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the legal team by maintaining accurate client files, managing document flow, and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain accurate physical and electronic client files
- Scan, index, and properly organize and link documents within the case management system
- Ensure files are complete, organized, and up to date
- Retrieve, re-file, and archive physical files
- Review and prioritize assigned tasks daily
- Complete time-sensitive tasks and update task status
- Support follow-through on outstanding items to prevent delays
- Prepare, copy, and distribute legal documents and packets
- Support document flow between attorneys, staff, courts, and external offices
- Deliver and retrieve documents from courts, agencies, clients, and professional offices
- Handle mail, bank deposits, and time-sensitive errands as needed
- Assist with supply restocking and general office support
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional shared office spaces
- Support reception or team members as needed
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and daily access to a reliable personal vehicle for required work-related travel, including client home visits and other off-site duties
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and perform light physical tasks such as bending or reaching
- Notary Public license, or the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain one
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with office systems and tools, including email, word processing, scheduling systems, and CRMs
- Ability to perform core job responsibilities in a structured, deadline-driven environment with accuracy and consistency
- Demonstrated reliability and consistent follow-through on assigned responsibilities
- Ability to work within defined processes and task-based workflows
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle attorney-client privileged and sensitive information

Compensation
$17 - $20/hour
