We are seeking a sharp, highly accomplished Family Law Senior Paralegal who takes full ownership of their caseload, serves as a trusted primary point of contact for clients, and acts as a key operational anchor within our legal support team. Working side-by-side with our litigators and Certified Family Law Specialists, you will drive cases forward with momentum, precision, and purpose.

What You'll Do

• Drive Caseload Ownership: Independently manage a full family law caseload from inception through resolution, partnering closely with attorneys as a strategic resource and proactive problem-solver.
• Lead Client Engagement: Serve as the primary, high-touch liaison for clients—communicating proactively, professionally, and with authentic empathy throughout the lifespan of their case.
• Execute High-Level Legal Drafting: Prepare advanced pleadings, motions, and court filings, including Requests for Order (RFOs), Domestic Violence Restraining Orders (DVROs), marital settlement agreements, judgment packages, trial briefs, and discovery demands/responses.
• Master Trial & Hearing Preparation: Support attorneys across all phases of litigation—organizing complex exhibit binders, managing witness lists, conducting targeted factual research, and leading client prep sessions.
• Maintain Bulletproof Case Management: Direct all calendaring, task tracking, and case notes within our litigation management systems, ensuring court deadlines and statutory timelines are flawlessly met.
• Navigate California Civil Procedure: Apply deep, practical working knowledge of Judicial Council forms, local county family court rules, California Rules of Court, and the Code of Civil Procedure.
• Conduct Strategic Client Interviews: Interview clients and key witnesses with poise and sensitivity to gather critical factual histories, asset disclosures, and case-relevant data.
• Maximize Operational Efficiency: Maintain accurate billable time entries and actively embrace new legal technology, automation, and tech-driven workflows that keep the firm operating at peak efficiency.

What You Bring

• Proven Family Law Expertise: 5 to 10+ years of hands-on, high-volume California family law paralegal experience with a track record of taking full ownership of complex litigation caseloads from day one.
• Deep Procedural Mastery: Expert knowledge of Judicial Council forms, local family court procedures, California Rules of Court, and the Code of Civil Procedure (CCP), including complex discovery rules and financial disclosure mandates.
• Tech-Forward & Metrics-Driven: High proficiency with modern legal case management platforms and CRMs (experience with Clio is a plus), alongside a disciplined habit of accurate, real-time billable time tracking.
• Exceptional Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills—able to interact with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel with clarity, poise, and genuine compassion.
• High-Level Organizational Instincts: Superior project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to maintain composure, precision, and strict deadline adherence under pressure.
