We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our Bryan, Texas team. This attorney will manage a family law caseload, develop case strategy, represent clients in contested matters, and guide clients through litigation, negotiation, mediation, and resolution.

About the Role
As a Family Law Attorney with C.E. Borman & Associates, you will take ownership of your matters and serve as a trusted legal advisor throughout the life of each case.
You will work closely with clients and the firm's support team to develop practical legal strategies, prepare matters for litigation, negotiate when appropriate, and advocate effectively when cases proceed to court.
The ideal candidate is comfortable handling challenging family law matters, confident in the courtroom, highly organized, and capable of balancing strong advocacy with compassionate client service.
Manage family law cases from initial evaluation through settlement, trial, and final resolution
- Develop case strategies based on the facts, applicable law, and individual client objectives
- Serve as the primary attorney and legal advisor for assigned clients
- Represent clients in hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and other court proceedings
- Prepare clients, witnesses, and experts for litigation, mediation, depositions, and trial
- Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement documents, and other legal filings
- Conduct legal research and apply Texas family law to complex and contested matters
- Evaluate legal and factual issues and identify practical strategies for advancing each case
- Negotiate settlements while protecting the client's legal and financial interests
- Maintain clear and timely communication with clients regarding case status, strategy, and next steps
- Work collaboratively with paralegals and support staff to maintain organized and efficient case management
- Identify potential issues early and take proactive steps to keep matters moving
- Develop creative solutions to challenging legal and client situations
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, legal judgment, and client service
The successful candidate will have:
- An active Texas law license and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- At least 3 years of hands-on family law experience
- Demonstrated family law litigation and courtroom experience
- Experience handling contested family law matters
- Strong legal research and writing abilities
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence appearing in court and advocating for clients in high-stakes situations
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Dropbox, and digital legal research platforms
- Sound professional judgment and attention to detail
- A resilient, solutions-oriented approach to challenging cases
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Strong work ethic and commitment to client service

Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $160,000
