Our law group is growing, and we are looking for a sharp family and estate attorney who will zealously represent clients in all areas of family law and estate law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations, such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support.
The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Additionally, handling probate, estates, guardianships, and more in the estate arena. Handling Estate matters such as estate planning, trust planning, probate and guardianships.
- Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases
- Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
- Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
- Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
- Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
Licensure in South Carolina is a major plus.
Experience at a legal firm working on family law and estate issues for at least 3-4 years is required.
- Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
Compensation
$110,000+ yearly DOE
