Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now!

Responsibilities

Supervising case teams
Handling firm-critical cases
Assisting with practice growth
Training/developing litigators
Handle sophisticated litigation matters from inception through trial
Help oversee case strategy across the firm
Assist in developing litigation systems and standards
Work closely with firm leadership on practice growth and case management
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives

Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed
Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process
Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action

Qualifications

Board Certified Specialist in Family Law
10-15+ years of substantial family law litigation experience
Significant first-chair trial experience
Demonstrated success in handling complex contested matters
Experience supervising or leading attorneys
Strong reputation for professionalism and ethics
Exceptional writing, advocacy, and analytical skills

Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred
Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case
Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high
Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)

Compensation

$200,000+ depending on performance
