Experienced Immigration Paralegal

Scottsdale, Arizona | Part-Time (30+ Hours per Week)

Langar Law Firm is a growing, boutique immigration law firm seeking an experienced bilingual paralegal to join our Scottsdale, Arizona, team. As our firm grows, we need a capable paralegal who can hit the ground running, take ownership of assignments, and help us continue delivering attentive, high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will have experience with family immigration, extraordinary-ability and talent-based petitions, and business immigration matters. The candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to complete assignments accurately with limited supervision.

This is a part-time position based in Scottsdale, Arizona. This position will begin part-time at 30 or more hours per week, with an initial three-month trial period. Following successful completion of the trial period, the position may transition into a full-time role with benefits.

Responsibilities

  • You create order through checklists, chronologies, and well-organized files.

  • You communicate with clients warmly and professionally.

  • You are proficient with email, calendars, spreadsheets, word processing, and online research.

  • You manage competing priorities without missing details or deadlines.

  • You take ownership of your caseload and know when to seek guidance.

  • You work closely with the managing attorney and team to keep cases moving.

  • You maintain accurate case notes, tasks, deadlines, and billable time.

  • You handle confidential client information with care and discretion.

Immigration-specific responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare immigration petitions, including L-1, O-1, EB1, and NIW applications.

  • Conduct thorough research on immigration regulations, case law, and country-specific information to support petition strategies.

  • Communicate with clients to gather and verify necessary documentation and information.

  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring timely submission of filings and deadlines are met.

  • Coordinate closely with attorneys to ensure cases are managed efficiently and accurately.

  • Monitor case progress, track deadlines, and provide status updates to clients and the legal team.

  • Assist in drafting and preparing responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and other complex filings.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience at a law firm working on family, extraordinary ability, talent-based, and business immigration law matters.

  • Significant experience handling L, O, EB2-NIW, and EB1 cases is required.

  • Strong understanding of USCIS procedures and forms.

  • Excellent writing skills are essential, including the ability to draft compelling legal arguments, client communications, and case summaries with precision and clarity.

  • Proficiency in Uzbek and/or Russian is strongly preferred, but not required.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively under deadlines are critical.

Compensation

$28 - $35 hourly
