Our busy hotel is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with great sales skills and a customer-focused approach to be our next event meeting manager The Event Meeting Manager coordinates and manages corporate meetings, conferences, and catering events. Typically working in hotels or resorts, they handle client communication, contract negotiations, and on-site logistics to ensure successful event execution and drive revenue growth.
- Establish and grow our market share by developing and maintaining relationships with major group and catering clients
- Represent property at appropriate travel industry trade shows and conferences while adhering to the guidelines of the marketing plan and budget
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community
- Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities
- Supports the director of sales and marketing in preparing the department budget as well as the hotel's overall sales goals and strategy
- 3+ years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality
- Stays organized and manage time well
- This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role
- High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
