Rochester, Minnesota | Full-Time | Hybrid Flexibility
An established firm. A significant stage of growth. An opportunity to be part of the next chapter.
For more than 30 years, Yanowitz Law Firm has helped Minnesota families through some of life's most important moments. Today, we're building on that foundation during a significant stage of growth, and we're looking for an experienced estate planning and probate attorney to be part of what comes next.
Picture walking into a client meeting knowing there is a capable team behind you. You can focus on the family in front of you, solve complex legal issues, and produce work you're proud of. Our attorneys meet weekly to discuss challenging cases, exchange perspectives, and learn from one another, giving you both the independence that comes with experience and the benefit of a collaborative attorney team.
That support extends beyond the legal work. Our firm has invested in experienced staff, technology, and established systems and processes that help the practice run efficiently and consistently. We're looking for an attorney who appreciates that structure and thrives within strong systems, while bringing their own experience and judgment to the work.
We also believe a meaningful legal career should leave room for life outside of work and opportunities to keep getting better at what you do. The position offers a financial bonus opportunity, 4 weeks of total paid time off with the opportunity to earn additional PTO through our group bonus program, and hybrid flexibility. We also invest in our attorneys by paying for opportunities to attend conferences, learn from others in the field, and continue becoming better at what they do.
Attorneys are generally available in Rochester for client appointments approximately three days per week, with the ability to work remotely approximately two days per week.
Lead estate planning matters with confidence. Counsel clients on planning strategies, including more complex matters, and recommend approaches based on their goals, family circumstances, and assets.
Take ownership of your legal work. Draft, review, and oversee wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and other estate planning documents with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
Guide families through probate and estate administration. Manage matters from beginning to completion, advise personal representatives, and navigate issues that arise along the way.
Build trusted client relationships. Lead client meetings, explain complex legal and tax concepts clearly, and provide the thoughtful, compassionate guidance clients expect.
Take ownership of your caseload. Manage your files, priorities, and deadlines confidently while collaborating with other attorneys and team members when another perspective is valuable.
Be part of a collaborative attorney team. Participate in weekly attorney meetings to discuss challenging cases, exchange perspectives, and learn from one another.
Thrive within strong systems. Work within established processes and use the firm’s technology, staff, and infrastructure to deliver consistent, high-quality legal work and client service.
Continue growing professionally. Stay current on developments in Minnesota estate planning and probate law and continue deepening your expertise.
Contribute to the firm’s continued growth. Build strong client and professional relationships and participate in appropriate business development, with support from the broader firm.
