If you are a law school graduate with estate planning experience, you may be an excellent addition to the Legacy Drafting team.

Legacy Drafting handles estate plan drafting for the attorneys in our drafting program. As an Estate Plan Draft Reviewer, you are the team’s final quality check: you review, edit, and finalize first drafts so each one matches the attorney’s firm preferences and their clients’ requests. We are looking for a highly analytical candidate with strong reasoning and time management skills. If this sounds like you, please apply!

  • Review first drafts of estate plans for accuracy and appropriate legal language, based on the information attorneys and clients provide, within one to two business days

  • Draft custom legal language, for the supervising attorney's review, when client wishes do not fit neatly within drafting software interviews

  • Catch and correct both small and large errors in first drafts

  • Review trust diagrams to confirm they match each client's trust selections

  • Clearly summarize substantial changes to each draft so the team can refine our drafting process and prevent repeat errors

  • Use our operational systems to keep the team informed of your progress and stay current on our standard operating procedures as they evolve

  • Flag inefficiencies or areas for improvement in our processes so we can keep improving our service

  • Be flexible, attentive, communicative, and courteous with our team, attorneys, and their staff

  • Law degree from an accredited U.S. institution

  • Must have worked in the estate planning field for at least two years

  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times

  • Proficiency with MS Office products is expected

  • Drafting experience in WealthDocx, ElderDocx, Interactive Legal, and/or Trustate is highly preferred

  • An attorney's license is recommended but not required

  • A 4-year degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree are necessary for this position

  • Must have worked on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years

  • Wide range of knowledge regarding estate planning-related topics

  • Strong communication skills, particularly in fast-paced situations

  • Active member of the ABA recommended, but not required

Legacy Architects was founded by Bonnie Faucett, a former estate planning attorney who built an in-person and virtual firm, earning a consistent $80,000 a month without missing time with her family. She built the software she couldn't find, and today hundreds of estate planning attorneys run their firms on it.

What we offer:

  • Legacy Architects: the only cloud-based software where estate planning attorneys and their clients securely collaborate through every phase of the estate planning journey in one master vault, without Word, Excel, or email threads.

  • The $50,000 Solo: our flagship implementation program, with done-for-you drafting from Legacy Drafting and a complete resource library.

Our mission is to help attorneys go from roller-coaster months and nights-and-weekends work to consistent $50,000+ months, without more staff, more hours, or sacrificed cash flow.
