Spitz, The Employee’s Law Firm, is hiring an attorney for our Youngstown office. This position offers a partnership track and generous bonus structure for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility and a long-term future with the firm.

The clients we serve face discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other workplace violations. They need an attorney who can turn a difficult experience into a carefully developed case—and who has the preparation, judgment, and determination to see it through.

We are looking for someone who writes persuasively, asks good questions, and takes initiative. You will develop case strategy, work directly with clients, and build your litigation skills alongside colleagues who share your commitment to employee advocacy. • Manage plaintiff-side employment cases from initial evaluation through litigation and resolution.

• Investigate claims, identify key evidence, and develop practical case strategies.

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs.

• Take and defend depositions and prepare clients and witnesses to testify.

• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.

• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial work.

• Explain legal issues and options clearly, keep clients informed, and provide candid advice.

• Coordinate with attorneys and support staff to meet deadlines and move cases forward.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active Ohio law license in good standing.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Sound judgment and the ability to identify both the strengths and weaknesses of a case.

• Organization, attention to detail, and reliable management of competing deadlines.

• Effective advocacy and interpersonal skills.

• A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and contribute to a collaborative team.

• A commitment to treating clients with empathy, patience, and respect.

• Litigation experience preferred; prior employment law experience is welcome but not required.
