  • Represent employees in Houston and across Texas in workplace disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage violations, medical leave issues, disability accommodations, and related employment claims.
  • Meet directly with clients to understand what happened, identify key events, evaluate documents, assess witnesses, and determine the best path forward.
  • Investigate workplace claims by gathering facts, building timelines, reviewing employment records, analyzing employer policies, and identifying evidence that supports the client’s case.
  • Prepare EEOC charges, Texas Workforce Commission Civil Rights Division filings, amendments, rebuttals, supporting evidence submissions, and related administrative documents.
  • Communicate with administrative agencies, investigators, opposing counsel, employers, witnesses, and clients to move claims forward.
  • Draft demand letters, settlement proposals, factual summaries, client updates, pleadings, discovery, and other case materials.
  • Negotiate with employers and opposing counsel to pursue fair pre-suit and litigation resolutions for clients.
  • Evaluate liability, damages, credibility issues, defenses, deadlines, exhaustion requirements, and litigation risks.
  • Work with litigation attorneys and support staff to transition cases from the administrative stage into litigation when settlement is not possible.
  • Assist with discovery, deposition preparation, mediation preparation, motion support, and trial preparation as cases develop.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients so they understand the status of their case, the legal process, upcoming deadlines, and strategic decisions.
  • Manage deadlines, case tasks, agency communications, and client expectations with strong organization and follow-through.
  • Help clients feel heard, respected, and represented during a difficult and often emotional employment dispute.
  • Experience in employment law, with a focus on employee-side litigation.
  • Ability to represent clients in workplace disputes, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Proven track record of preparing and filing EEOC charges and related administrative documents.
  • Strong skills in negotiating settlements and drafting demand letters and pleadings.
  • Ability to evaluate liability, damages, and litigation risks effectively.
  • Experience in managing case tasks, deadlines, and client expectations with precision.
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain regular client updates and strategic discussions with stakeholders.

Compensation

$65,000 - $90,000 yearly
