Join our teams at the Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark Wilmington South as the Dual Property Director of Finance. The Dual Property Director of Finance manages all financial aspects of a hotel, including overseeing accounting departments, producing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring tax compliance.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with department heads to create annual budgets and forecast future revenue.
- Internal Controls & Audits: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accuracy.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor inventory levels and audit invoices/requisitions.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5+ years in hospitality accounting, often with prior supervisory experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., M3, Oracle/Opera), strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
