As our next dishwasher, we're looking for hardworking individuals who are eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our busy kitchen. We need someone dependable who can pitch in and help with a variety of kitchen tasks. In addition to unloading dirty dishes brought in by bussers, you will be scraping, sorting, and loading dishes into the dishwashing machine.   • Place utensils and dishes in proper storage areas after unloading the dishwasher
  • Ensure appropriate levels of detergent and cleaning supplies while also keeping track of dishwashing machine mechanical problems
  • Rinse glassware, scrape plates, and sort dishes before loading them into the dishwasher
  • Take part in employee meetings regularly to stay up to date on all policies and safety regulations
  • Mop and clean kitchen floors daily to keep the workplace neat and sanitary
  • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent stamina and physical health
  • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail

Compensation

$16 - $18 hourly

The Hotel Salem is a vibrant and one-of-a-kind accommodation on the North Shore of Boston. This 44-room boutique Salem hotel is in the middle of the action on the bustling Essex Street pedestrian mall in the city center. It is home to two restaurants: The Roof, Salem's only open-air rooftop dining experience serving creative Mexican cuisine, and Counter, inspired by the lunch counters of mid-century department stores, serving a variety of sandwiches, burgers, and pizza.
