Position Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading all sales efforts for the hotel while developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth across all market segments. This role partners closely with Revenue Management, Operations, and the Regional Director of Sales to maximize the hotel's commercial performance.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on—someone who enjoys building relationships in the community, coaching team members, analyzing business trends, and creating innovative solutions that deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the hotel's strategic sales plan to achieve revenue goals.
- Prospect, solicit, and secure new business across corporate, group, extended stay, negotiated, and local market segments.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
- Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, inventory, and market strategy.
- Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, site tours, and client presentations.
- Lead weekly sales meetings and ensure accountability for prospecting, pipeline management, and production goals.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience from booking through departure.
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasting, and reporting.
- Represent the hotel within the local community and industry organizations.
Qualifications
- Hotel sales experience preferred, with leadership experience strongly desired.
- Proven ability to develop business and exceed revenue goals.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Strategic thinker with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and accountable.
- Experience working with hotel sales systems and CRM platforms is preferred.
- Passion for coaching others and creating a positive, high-performing culture.

Compensation
$70,000 - $80,000/year
