We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Desk Auto Medical Adjuster to join our team. As a Desk Auto Medical Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in the insurance process by processing first-party and third-party medical payment claims as well as low to mid-level bodily injury claims. You will use your expertise in insurance policies, coverage interpretation, and investigative skills to accurately evaluate claims and provide fair and timely resolutions. This is a remote position for a Wisconsin resident.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations of automotive insurance claims, reviewing policy coverage, accident reports, and gathering supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate liability by examining accident reports, witness statements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and resolve auto and property medical payment claims. 
  • Investigate, evaluate, and conclude first and third-party bodily injury settlements.
  • Ability to review and analyze medical records and medical bills.
  • Communicate with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and other relevant parties to gather information, explain coverage, and negotiate settlements.
  • Document all activities, decisions, and settlements accurately and timely in the claims management system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and legal counsel, to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout the claims process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations related to automotive insurance claims.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of auto claims handling experience, with emphasis on Medical Payment and/or Bodily Injury Claims.   
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., insurance, business administration, risk management) OR equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess damages, determine liability, and calculate settlement amounts accurately.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other relevant software applications.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in handling first-party and third-party medical claims related to auto accidents preferred.
  • State Adjusters License (TX or NC preferred). 
Compensation
$55,000 - $65,000, based on experience
