Are you an experienced registered dental assistant who has a passion for working with oral healthcare patients? If so, we would love to talk with you. Our ideal candidate has 3 years of dental practice experience in an assisting role, has a current RDA license, and is excellent at customer service, organization, and communication skills.   • Screening procedures include assessment of oral health conditions, adult and child prophylaxis, periodontal charting, and periodontal therapy, including dispensing of subgingival medications
  • Scanning with iTero
  • Assisting the doctor with co-diagnosis of dental problems
  • Applying preventive materials to the teeth, such as fluorides and sealants, nutritional counseling, and providing oral hygiene instructions
  • Being familiar with Invisalign
  • Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
  • Equip and prepare treatment rooms for examination and procedures by laying out necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials
  • Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment
  • Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
  • Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed

  • Skill in providing excellent customer service and support; organizing and prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines; and excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to perform each position responsibility satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED certificate(required). Current CPR (BLS) is required. Minimum 1 year of experience as an RDA preferred but not required

  • License and/or Certification: Current RDA certification from Texas Dental Board(required). Current CPR certification(required)

  • Computer skills and experience with dental software and updating patient histories is needed
  • Superb interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are desired
  • 3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required
  • State licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)

Compensation

$21 - $27 hourly depending on experience
