2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred
Experience with temporaries, implants, Invisalign, or cosmetic dentistry is a plus

Responsibilities

Must be able to fabricate aesthetic, well-fitting temporaries
Must be familiar with Invisalign, including taking records, placing attachments, and scanning
Must be skilled in basic assisting, such as but not limited to suctioning, packing cord, accurate notes, and explaining treatment to patients
Must pass a reference check
Has experience assisting with implants and orthodontic procedures
Can anticipate doctors' needs and keep procedures flowing efficiently

Ensure dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
Provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums after procedures, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and schedule appointments for patient care follow up
Equip and prepare treatment rooms for examination and procedures by laying out necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials
Support dentists and dental hygienists by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team during procedures or examinations
Welcome patient and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during their appointment

Qualifications

Current BLS/CPR certification is required
Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed
State licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
Superb interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are desired
An Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required

Compensation

$26 - $26/hour
