Who We Are
King of Kings Business & Tax Advisory is a growing accounting, tax, and financial advisory firm serving business owners, entrepreneurs, law firms, professional service firms, and high-income individuals.
We are not a traditional accounting firm focused solely on preparing tax returns after the year is over. Our approach is proactive and advisory-driven. We work with clients throughout the year to help them understand their numbers, reduce tax exposure through strategic planning, strengthen cash flow, improve profitability, and make better financial decisions.
Our services extend across tax planning and preparation, accounting and bookkeeping, business structuring, payroll, financial reporting, and Fractional CFO advisory.
We have developed a strong specialization in serving growing law firms and closely held businesses that need more than basic compliance—they need a financial and tax advisor who understands where their business is today and where they are trying to go.
As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced CPA Tax Manager who wants to become an important part of that growth.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a technically strong, proactive, and experienced CPA who can take ownership of our tax department and confidently advise business owners.
This is not an entry-level position, and it is not a role for someone who wants to focus exclusively on tax return preparation.
The right person will be comfortable reviewing complex returns, identifying tax-planning opportunities, communicating directly with clients, mentoring tax staff, managing deadlines, and helping leadership continuously improve the firm's tax processes.
We want someone who naturally thinks beyond:
"What needs to be filed?"
and instead asks:
"What can we do before year-end to improve this client's tax and financial position?"
Manage and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns, including Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065, and individual returns involving pass-through entities.
Lead proactive mid-year and year-end tax-planning engagements.
Review client financials and identify potential tax-saving strategies and planning opportunities.
Advise clients regarding entity structure, reasonable compensation, estimated taxes, basis, distributions, accounting methods, and multi-entity structures.
Work directly with business owners and high-income clients to explain complex tax matters in a clear and practical way.
Review work prepared by tax preparers, accountants, and bookkeepers for accuracy and tax readiness.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to tax and accounting team members.
Manage tax deadlines, extensions, outstanding information, and workflow across a portfolio of clients.
Research federal and state tax law changes and proactively communicate opportunities and risks.
Assist with IRS and state notices, examinations, correspondence, and tax resolution matters.
Collaborate closely with our bookkeeping, accounting, and Fractional CFO teams so that tax planning is integrated into the client's overall financial strategy.
Help leadership strengthen tax department procedures, quality-control standards, and planning processes.
Active CPA license required.
5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
Tax manager, senior reviewer, or equivalent leadership experience strongly preferred.
Strong technical experience with S corporations, partnerships, C corporations, and high-income individual taxation.
Strong knowledge of Forms 1120-S, 1065, 1120, and 1040, including pass-through taxation and multi-state filings.
Experience reviewing complex business and individual tax returns.
Strong understanding of tax planning—not simply tax compliance.
Ability to review financial statements and identify tax implications and planning opportunities.
Experience working directly with business owners and advising clients.
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
Experience with professional service firms, law firms, or closely held businesses is highly preferred.
Experience with tax-planning technology such as TaxPlanIQ, Instead, or similar platforms is a plus.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
Compensation
$90,000 - $155,000
Join an advisory firm moving beyond traditional accounting. Work directly with successful entrepreneurs and growing businesses, participate in strategic tax-planning conversations, and collaborate with accounting and CFO professionals.
We offer:
Competitive compensation based on experience
Direct exposure to business owners and executive-level financial discussions
Tax-planning and advisory work beyond compliance
A collaborative tax, accounting, and financial strategy environment
Professional development and leadership opportunities
Opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role as the firm expands
We seek a CPA passionate about helping clients grow, build wealth, and make proactive year-round tax and financial decisions.
