- Prepare and portion meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items per company recipes and standards
- Cook menu items (grilling, broiling, sautéing, etc.) and prepare sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments
- Set up, stock, and maintain cooking stations for each shift
- Ensure food is properly stored, meet waste control guidelines, and consistently uphold quality standards
- Keep all work areas, counters, equipment, and refrigeration clean and sanitary
- Follow established recipes and presentation standards for all menu items
- Assist with prep, dishwashing, or other kitchen duties as needed
- Interact with team members, vendors, and guests in a professional, positive manner
- Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served
- Interact with visitors, vendors, and associates while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
- Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items
- Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift
- Clean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator, in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Meet all safety and sanitation requirements for kitchen equipment and food storage
- Experience in food service or food preparation preferred
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork skills
- Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Valid Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet minimum legal age requirement
Physical Requirements
- Stand for extended periods while preparing and cooking food
- Lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
- Work in hot or cold kitchen environments
- Previous experience working in food service is preferred
- Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
- Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
Compensation
$17 - $19 hourly
