We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll. This role will also oversee commission processing and ensure accurate, timely payments to real estate agents. The ideal candidate is a seasoned accounting professional with strong leadership, organization, and financial oversight skills.

• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk utilizing the company's accounting system.

• Oversees the production of monthly financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with the accrual accounting method and financial reporting standards.

• Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.

• Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

• Provides financial analysis, including pricing decisions and contract negotiations.

• Works with an external Certified Public Accountant.

• Files quarterly and annual reports as required.

• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

• Generates annual 1099s and tangible returns.

• Excellent management and supervisory skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

• Real Estate Brokerage experience preferred.
