Texas Contract Business Attorney – Small Business Clients
As a Contract Lawyer serving our Access Members, your core responsibilities will encompass:
Contract Review and Drafting: Carefully review and draft contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal protection of our Access Members' interests.
Legal Consultations: Provide expert legal guidance and consultations to our Access Members as needed.
Client Support: Offer responsive and solution-driven support to address our Access Members' legal needs promptly.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support clients' cases and transactions effectively.
Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.
Serve as a trusted legal advisor to small business owners, helping them identify legal risks, evaluate options, and make practical business decisions.
Review, draft, revise, and negotiate business contracts, including customer and vendor agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, leases, purchase agreements, and other commercial documents.
Advise clients on day-to-day business legal matters involving contracts, employees, customers, vendors, ownership issues, and business operations.
Meet directly with clients, explain legal issues in plain English, and provide clear, practical recommendations rather than simply identifying legal problems.
Manage assigned client matters from intake through completion, including appropriate follow-up and client communication.
Conduct legal research as needed to provide accurate and practical advice.
Collaborate with other REIB LAW attorneys and staff and recognize when a matter should be escalated or referred to specialized counsel.
Maintain accurate and organized client files and matter notes.
Provide responsive service consistent with REIB LAW’s relationship-based approach to serving Access Plan members.
- Licensed attorney in good standing with a U.S. state bar (Texas preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience practicing business law, including contracts, entity structuring, and advising small businesses
- Strong ability to explain legal concepts in plain English to business owners
- Experience advising forward-thinkers or small business clients
- Comfortable working in a client-facing advisory role, not just document drafting
- Ability to identify legal risks and recommend proactive solutions
- Strong judgment and business-minded approach to legal strategy
- Comfortable working in a remote, flexible, contract-based environment
Compensation
$45 - $75 hourly
