We are looking for an experienced construction superintendent who can lead our labor crew and subcontractors. You'll help our construction company plan and manage projects from start to finish for homeowners. Additional responsibilities include daily scheduling, maintaining the safety and compliance of a construction site, and supervising all activities.

Responsibilities

Ensure that each construction project produces a high-quality finished product, manage construction workers, conduct routine on-site inspections, and provide guidance as needed
Employ subcontractors and ensure they have all of the necessary permits
Reduce accidents and delays on construction sites by ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and reporting any problems to the project manager as soon as they arise
Consult with the project's stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within budget
Assess subcontractor progress against timelines and performance targets to ensure that work is completed on schedule and to the highest possible quality

Qualifications

Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office software
Excellent leadership, time-management, organizational, and communication skills
5 years of prior experience as a general contractor is required for this position; additional management experience preferred
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles

Compensation

$90,500 - $105,000 yearly

There's no regional layer to route decisions through and no weekly report that nobody reads; when you need an answer, you call one of the two owners and get it that day. Your judgment on the job site is the judgment that counts. That comes with real accountability and almost no one looking over your shoulder. Pay is competitive with bonus and commission on top, so what you earn tracks how your jobs perform. And since we only build in Davidson County, you spend your day managing houses instead of sitting in traffic between them.
