Toberman Becker Wealth is seeking an experienced financial planning support professional to join our growing team.
- Base salary: $90,000–$110,000, based on 3+ years of experience and qualifications.
- Work arrangement: Remote, hybrid, or primarily in-office, based on employee preference.
- Location: Employee must reside in the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area or Southern Illinois to support periodic team meetings and training.
- 401(k): 3% annual Safe Harbor employer contribution, 100% immediately vested.
- PTO: Four weeks annually.
- Health insurance: At this time, the firm does not offer an employer-sponsored health insurance plan. The firm provides a competitive overall package through strong compensation, workplace flexibility, and employer-funded 401(k) contributions that do not require employee contributions.
Responsibilities
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the client service process, staying ahead of important details, supporting advisor follow-through, and helping a growing wealth management firm deliver an organized, responsive, and high-quality experience.
- Day-to-day client service: Act as a dependable resource for client questions, requests, and next steps by helping anticipate needs, communicating clearly, managing expectations, and coordinating timely follow-through with the appropriate firm resources.
- Onboarding and service experience: Help guide new clients through onboarding, document gathering, account setup, and ongoing service touchpoints while supporting a polished, proactive, and client-centered experience.
- Meeting preparation and action items: Prepare advisor meeting materials, planning packets, reports, and supporting documents; coordinate required information from clients; summarize next steps; and monitor follow-up items after meetings.
- Planning data and deliverables: Gather, organize, enter, and maintain client financial planning information, planning software records, and related deliverables so advisors have accurate and current information for client reviews.
- Planning-related coordination: Support recurring planning workflows such as tax document collection, RMDs, QCDs, Roth conversion tracking, contribution coordination, insurance review follow-up, and beneficiary review updates.
- Custodian and account service: Handle account opening and maintenance through Schwab Advisor Center, including transfers, money movement, distributions, contributions, rollovers, account updates, and related paperwork.
- CRM, workflow, and process support: Keep CRM records, tasks, and recurring workflows organized; monitor deadlines; document procedures; assist with compliance readiness; and recommend practical improvements that help the team serve clients more efficiently.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wealth management client service, excellent follow-through, and the ability to keep planning support, account administration, and daily service workflows moving accurately and efficiently.
- Professional background: 3+ years of experience in wealth management, financial services, RIA support, advisory operations, or a client-facing service role.
- Client experience: Background working with high-net-worth clients and helping deliver a responsive, polished, and high-quality service experience.
- Wealth management knowledge: Familiarity with financial planning concepts, retirement accounts, investment account types, and the operational needs of an advisory firm.
- Account and custodian workflows: Experience using custodial platforms and supporting account opening, account maintenance, transfers, money movement, and related service requests.
- Systems and tools: Comfort working with CRM platforms, task or workflow systems, electronic signature tools such as DocuSign, and other technology used to manage client service.
- Execution and accuracy: Strong organizational ability, careful attention to detail, sound judgment, project management skills, and a commitment to completing work correctly and on time.
- Service and improvement mindset: Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, process-oriented thinking, and a genuine interest in improving how the firm serves clients and operates day to day.
